A gentle introduction

A gentle and accessible first yoga class that guides you through the first basic poses.

Today’s session

Welcome to your first yoga lesson. This class is designed as a gentle introduction to help you arrive on the mat, slow down, and begin building awareness of your body and breath. There is no goal to perform perfectly. The purpose of today is simply to move, observe, and get comfortable with the feeling of practicing yoga.

As you move through the exercises, pay close attention to your breathing. Let your breath stay smooth and natural, using it as an anchor to stay present. If something feels challenging or unfamiliar, that is completely normal. Move slowly, take breaks when needed, and remember that rest is always an option.

This first lesson lays the foundation for the days ahead. You are learning how to listen to your body, how to transition between poses with care, and how to use gentle movement to release tension. Approach the practice with curiosity and patience, knowing that consistency (not intensity) is what brings progress over time.
