Strength Through Gentle Standing Poses

A supportive class that introduces simple standing poses to build strength and confidence in the legs.

Today’s session

In this lesson, you will begin spending a little more time standing and supporting your own body weight. The purpose of today’s practice is to gently build strength while maintaining a sense of ease and stability. Move slowly and allow yourself time to settle into each pose.

As you practice, focus on feeling grounded through your feet. Let your breath remain steady and calm, even as the poses become slightly more active. If you notice tension in your shoulders, jaw, or face, soften those areas and return your attention to your breathing.

Standing poses help create a strong foundation for your yoga practice. Over time, they improve balance, posture, and confidence in movement. Remember that it is perfectly fine to modify, pause, or rest whenever needed.
